The Legacy of the Reformation - 500 Years and Beyond
October 31 will mark the 500th anniversary of the day Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses on the Wittenberg Church door, jump-starting the Protestant Reformation. In August, we began our commemoration of that world-changing event with a series on the five solas of the Reformation. You can listen to those podcasts on Scripture Alone, Faith Alone, Christ Alone, Grace Alone, and To God's Glory Alone at the links below.
Our celebration will continue on Sunday, September 24, at 6:00 p.m. with a concert debuting new Hymns of Reformation written by Dr. R.C. Sproul and Mr. Jeff Lippencott from Ligonier Ministries. Concert details here.
We have two more Reformation events planned for October. Sunday, October 29, at 6:00 p.m., IPC will join area Presbyterian churches at Second Presbyterian Church for our annual Reformation service - our own Dr. Sean Lucas will be preaching. Finally, on Tuesday, October 31, IPC will host an 11:45 luncheon, with Dr. Lucas speaking on Protestant Still: Why the Reformation Matters Today.
