A few notes:
If your student has been asked to quarantine by your school or from a medical professional, please do not send them to church. Further, if someone in your family is awaiting results from a COVID test or has tested positive, please keep your student home as well until medical professsionals have given your family the clear to come back. If your student is showing any signs of illness, please make sure they stay home. If we notice that a student appears to be sick at any of our programs, we may pull them aside and take their temperature with one of our no-contact inferred thermometers. Also, as we have been asking you, please remind your student of the importance of social distancing when they are around staff and other students, particularly if/when we are indoors.
In the event that it rains, all students and staff will move indoors to the gym. Prior to entering the building, all students will complete a checklist of 4 screening questions, and if they answered yes to any of them, they will need to talk with a leader.
The screening questions we will ask students are:
1 - In the past two weeks have you been in close contact with anyone with confirmed COVID-19 virius who is still in their isolation period or still has symptoms?
2 - In the last two weeks, have you been in close contact with anyone who is currently awaiting their COVID-19 test results?
3 - Have you had shortness of breath within the last 24 hours that you cannot attribute to another known health condition?
4 - Do you feel generally unwell for any reason? For example, do you have new unexplained muscle aches, new sore throat, new GI distress or other changes in your health that you cannot attribute to another known health condition or specific activity?
Once we enter the building, all students are required to wear masks. If your student does not bring one, we have extras (but please get in the habit of sending masks with your students in the event that we do need them indoors). Before entering the gym, all students and staff will wash their hands in the gym bathrooms.
In the gym we will have a variety of activities for students to participate in. As we have through this whole summer, we are encouraging students to give each other some space and to refrain from having any physical contact with others.
