Whether we are celebrating the opening of the Streets Ministry (Graham Heights Campus) with a box lunch on site, throwing a baby shower for one of our mercy ministries or hosting a luncheon to hear from the House Parents at Palmer Home for Children, we are thrilled and always humbled to be able to participate in what God is doing with and through the people of IPC. Special Events at IPC are just that, a great time to bring your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to the table while sharing a meal and hearing from gifted speakers. Join us and see how God is using IPC to serve one another humbly in love! We promise you will have fun and God will be glorified!- He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed (Psalm 11:25)

In Matthew 28, Christ tells His disciples (a reference to all believers) to go and make disciples of all nations and to teach them to observe all of His commands. It is a privilege to serve as the Missions Coordinator and introduce the many opportunities to serve through IPC's local mercy ministries-serving Memphians and sharing with them the love of Christ. We can also encourage missionaries around the world through correspondence and prayer. Consider going on a short-term mission trip-a truly life changing experience, where you will witness God at work. Christ calls us to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth-this is His Great Commission.

Care Ministry

The Care Ministry represents a vital part of our calling as Christians to love one another as Christ has loved us. We serve,  encourage, and support our congregation from new families to our oldest members by arranging and delivering flowers to new moms, to those in the hospital, or to those who have lost a loved one. We also love to spend time with our homebound members whether it is caroling at Christmas time, visiting, or writing notes to those who are so dear to us. Another unique aspect of the Care Ministry is communion preparation for our congregation. What a privilege, as we prepare the elements, to pray for all those in our congregation who will receive communion.

One of the purposes of the Mentoring Ministry is to equip women to serve. One area of service is the 3-Cord Ministry, where women knit for homebound, bereaved, those suffering a life crisis, and Mercy Ministries. Multi-generational events such as Soup's On offer opportunities for us to build a wider community with those of another age. We also have a ministry for those who are widowed. Our annual White Rose Luncheon is for those women who are so dear to the Body of Christ. What a wonderful opportunity I have been given to share in the quest for each of us to strive to be all that we can be in Christ and to serve those in our families, church, and communities.

Mom's the Word

At IPC, we love moms of all ages and stages! God has called moms to be missionaries to their children. What a daunting task! Motherhood is exhausting and relentless but at the same time rewarding. We desire to have a community of moms who seek God in His word, encourage one another to persevere in our call, and pray for one another. Mom's the Word is a weekly small group Bible study, encouraging moms to keep their focus on God as well as navigating the joys and challenges of motherhood. There are also regular "get-togethers" for the whole family.

Bible Study/Small Groups

As a part of the Women's Ministry team, I serve as the Small Group Coordinator. Our team goal is to provide a small group environment that encourages the pursuit of God through the study of His word, building bonds of fellowship within our group and church and equipping women to serve Christ. We do this by carefully vetting Bible study material, identifying and training leaders and providing opportunities for service. It is such a blessing to see women maturing in their faith, stepping out of their comfort zone to minister to one another and enjoying Christian community, some for the very first time.

Working Women

I am delighted to serve as IPC's Working Women's Coordinator. It is exciting to coordinate evening events for women of all ages and stages who work. These events offer opportunities for fellowship, hearing inspirational speakers and just having fun get-togethers, encouraging each other in our walk with the Lord. There are small group evening Bible Studies for women both in homes and at IPC. My desire is that every experience will create within each of us a deeper desire to serve others and develop  a strong community of believers thus bringing us closer to Jesus Christ.
