IPC supports Bogota Bridges
IPC members Avery and Marilyn Bridges and their girls are leaving in less than 100 days to go to the mission field. The Bridges family has been a blessing to Independent Presbyterian Church here in Memphis. They have been active members of IPC for about four years. As some of you may know, Avery has worked with building homes in the Binghamton neighborhood of Memphis for a number of years and has been instrumental in the development of that community which has been severely depressed for decades. IPC's Senior Pastor, Richie often speaks of “missional” living in the city, and the Bridges are actually people that are practicing this lifestyle! The Lord has now called them to serve in Bogota, Colombia, and they will bring that same "missional" heart to the people there. They have truly submitted to the Lord’s leading and sought the counsel of IPC’s pastors, elders and other wise individuals. They have been evaluated and approved by the PCA’s mission agency MTW and are currently raising support to go on the field. They leave for Belgium for training in January 2014. Join IPC as we pray for Avery, Marilyn and their two daughters, Isabella and Brook.
