Independent Presbyterian Church is a diverse, multi-generational family of faith who desires to make much of Jesus. We often say that we want to be a Jesus church, loving who and what Jesus loves. The result will be that Jesus will make us into new people — transformed by the power of his love and energized to speak and live out the Gospel to Memphis and beyond.
Since 1965, our church has talked about and lived for Jesus out of a joyful commitment to the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms.
Though we began our life as an independent church, we are grateful that for over twenty years we have been part of the Presbyterian Church in America, a denomination that is faithful to the Scriptures, true to the Reformed faith, and obedient to the Great Commission. That’s what we aspire to be as well as we live out God’s mission, all for God’s glory.
